TO SAVE REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS!
A number of American politicians have decided that an attack on the rights and dignity of women would somehow garner them votes in the upcoming elections. (They are clearly unaware that women have the right to vote.)
They call us names, withhold money from women's clinics, pass laws that intrude upon our privacy and our bodies, and are even considering making us carry dead fetuses to term, limiting access to birth control pills or allowing our employers to fire us if he discovers we are on the pill. We are outraged! This issue isn't just an attack on a woman's right to choose, it's an attack on all sexually active individuals, male and female, conservatives and liberals, married and single, who enjoy their rights to family planning. If couples have no affordable access to birth control and reproductive medical care, responsible women and men will exercise the only choice they have left--saying "NO" to the ones they love. On April 28th, we will rally all around the country and stand up against this war on women, couples and families. With the beginning of these marches and rallies, we will launch our no access sex strike. Join us in the observance of our choices at risk and make the pledge to cross your legs April 28 - May 5, 2012. Use the extra time to write your elected officials and demand respect for women's rights and bodies. Register to vote, and in November, vote these overstepping, woman-hating, hypocritical windbags out! And if you are married to one of the ninnies who write these disgusting laws, keep the pressure on, ladies. Bravo, Mrs. Albo! |
